Bobrisky finally free after 4 months in prison

He was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on four counts bordering on naira abuse and was sentenced to six months in prison without the option of a fine.

Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison.

Recall that the EFCC had on April 5 secured the conviction of Bobrisky, for mutilating naira notes.

Okuneye was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on four counts bordering on naira abuse.

He pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos.

Bobrisky was released on Monday, August 5, 2024. He was seen in a video with friends, celebrating and enjoying Mohbad’s and Chike’s song “Egwu.” His friends were heard saying, “We are out of prison. Congratulations, Bobrisky.”
