Diddy placed on suicide watch in prison

The 54-year-old who was arrested on Monday is currently facing federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been placed on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in New York.

He was reportedly placed on suicide watch for preventative measures.

The 54-year-old artist, who was arrested on Monday, is currently facing serious federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

On Tuesday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ordered that he be detained pending trial.

However, on Friday, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told TMZ that the suicide watch was a standard procedure for “new, high-profile inmates.”

Agnifilo, who spent six hours with Diddy at the federal facility on Thursday, emphasized that the rapper is “not at all suicidal” and described him as “healthy, strong, confident, and focused on his defense.”

The report did not reveal how long Diddy will remain under suicide watch.
