Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy and the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, has made history as the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Cuppy moderated the Youth Action Day at the 2024 UNGA, themed “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.” She also delivered a musical performance following her keynote address.

Her session marked the largest youth gathering ever held at the UN Headquarters.

The event featured other notable personalities, including the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and the President of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves.
