The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 34-year-old woman near a piggery farm in Ijebuode, Ijebuode Local Government Area.
The woman was said to have gone missing last Thursday before her lifeless body was discovered on Friday in a shallow canal.
Confirming the incident, the command’s spokesperson Omolola Odutola said the circumstance leading to her death was still unclear as there were no marks of violence on her body.
However, plastic bag containing an unidentified liquid was found at the scene.
Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of her death, and her remains have been deposited at the state hospital mortuary for autopsy.
