President Tinubu has named Idris Olorunnimbe as head of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) board.
On Tuesday, Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy, revealed the president’s appointments.
He stated that Olorunnimbe has extensive experience in innovative leadership and a strong dedication to youth empowerment and education.
As the group CEO of The Temple Company, which was created in 2016, Olorunnimbe has overseen efforts in education and entertainment.
He previously served on the board of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), where he oversaw the stakeholder and governance committees for a variety of employment and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Rasaq Olajuwon from the South West has been named UBEC’s deputy executive secretary (technical), while Tunde Ajibulu from the North Central will be the deputy executive secretary (services).
Prior to his appointment, Olajuwon was the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency’s (LASIMRA) director of administration and human resources.
Ajibulu, a fellow at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), is a director at Tangent Construction Nigeria Limited and a partner at Covenant Consultancy Services.
President Bola Tinubu also named Mohammed Aminu as registrar/CEO of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
Aminu has a Ph.D. in Automotive Technology and a Masters in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
He brings 28 years of expertise in teaching, administration, research, and policy formulation to this new position.
Aminu previously worked as the director of procurement at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
President Tinubu asked the incoming NABTEB registrar to use his skills to foster transformational leadership inside the organisation.
