Nigerian singer and songwriter Victor Adere commonly known as Victor AD, has criticized a BBC Africa Eye documentary that implicated the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), TB Joshua.
The documentary accused TB Joshua of various wrongdoings, including orchestrating stage miracles and engaging in sexual manipulation of female members.
The singer of “Wetin We Gain” took to X to refute the claims, emphasizing that TB Joshua was a genuine man of God. Victor asserted that the prophet had healed him of a skin ailment when he was six years old, intervened to save his mother from a potential amputation after a gunshot wound, and also aided his sister’s recovery from blindness during her primary school days.
Prophet TB Joshua fake ke?😂
Person wey God use heal me from skin disease at the age of 6, restored my mums hand that was supposed to be amputated due to gunshot wound, or is it my sister that got healed from blindness during her primary school days . So many wonderful deeds!!…— Victor AD REDEYE (@victor_adere) January 10, 2024
Initiating his defense, he stated, “Prophet TB Joshua fake ke? Person wey God use heal me from skin disease at the age of 6, restored my mum’s hand that was supposed to be amputated due to gunshot wound, or is it my sister that got healed from blindness during her primary school days.”
Maintaining his stance, the singer highlighted that TB Joshua had provided shelter and sustenance for him and his family, reinforcing that the late prophet had performed benevolent acts throughout his life.
“So many wonderful deeds!! Which of these are fake or staged? When my family and I were homeless, he gave us shelter and fed us. God is not a man. Say whatever you like. E no go change God from being God #tbjoshualegacyliveson,” he expressed.
However, a video from 2021 resurfaced, revealing the singer discussing an “anointed water” that he claimed healed his mother. In the same clip, Victor, engaged in a video call with his mother, sprayed the anointed water at the camera and prayed for her. His mother stated during the call that she instantly regained movement in her affected hand.
“Good morning everybody. God used this New Anointing Water from Prophet TB Joshua to heal my mum from a gun shot wound. My mum was shot nine months ago and she could not use her hand until I ministered this Anointing Water on her hand. Now, she is free!” – Victor AD @victor_adere pic.twitter.com/LFuRUMtu7X

The controversy unfolded in January 2024 when former members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations labeled the church “a cult” and accused TB Joshua of various offenses. These allegations were exposed in a three-part BBC documentary, stirring widespread discussion. The church has vehemently denied all the accusations.
