Shettima to represent Tinubu in Texas for US-Africa business summit 

Shettima would attend the summit alongside other political and corporate leaders from Africa.

Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to attend the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Centre in Dallas, Texas.

Shettima will be representing President Bola Tinubu at the occasion.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by Stanley Nkwocha, senior special assistant to the president on media and communications, the summit is organised by the Corporate Council on Africa.

According to Nkwocha, Shettima would attend the summit alongside other political and corporate leaders from Africa, the United States, and other countries.

Nkwocha said the summit will include high-level discussions, networking opportunities, and a plenary.

He said:

“He (Shettima) is also scheduled to speak on a high-level panel on agribusiness, focusing on transiting from food insecurity to thriving agribusinesses.”

“Additionally, the Vice-President will speak at a plenary session on Navigating Africa’s Energy Future as well as chair a session dedicated to promoting the ‘invest in Nigeria’ initiative.

“He is also expected to attend other meetings and engagements on the sideline of the summit.”

Nkwocha stated that other African leaders slated to attend the event include Liberia President Joseph Boakai, Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera, and Angolan President Joao Lourenço, among others.
