Nollywood actor turned pastor, Yul Edochie, has addressed the criticism surrounding his prediction about the AFCON 2023 final.

Prior to the match on Sunday, Yul had forecasted a victory for the Nigeria Super Eagles over Ivory Coast, but the outcome turned out differently, with the Super Eagles facing a 2-1 defeat.

In response to the backlash on social media, where many labeled his prophecy as fake, Yul took to his Instagram page to express gratitude to the Super Eagles.

He stated, “It is well. Thank you Super Eagles. Getting to the finals is as good as winning. We are proud of you all. Great performance in the tournament.

“Win or lose, good or bad, we’ve been here. I love my country Nigeria. Better days ahead. Giant of Africa.”
