Showmax has announced the return of its original telenovela “Wura” for a second season.

The Nigerian adaptation of the South African hit “The River” continues to follow the lives of characters in the small community of Iperindo, Osun state, where the discovery of gold brings both unity and division.

The show’s protagonist, Wura-Amoo Adeleke, is a complex character balancing the roles of a perfect wife and mother with that of a ruthless CEO of Frontline Gold Mine.
