Workers Day: Senate, government to collaborate for better welfare, says Akpabio

The Senate President, Akpabio, has pledged collaboration between the National Assembly and the Executive to improve Nigerian workers’ wages and working conditions.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, to commemorate the 2024 May Day, Akpabio extolled Nigerian workers’ patriotism, hard work, resilience, and dedication.

He promised that the National Assembly, under his leadership, would ensure better working conditions, stating, “No Nigerian worker will again be allowed to work under inhuman conditions.”

Akpabio reiterated the commitment of the 10th National Assembly to provide legislative support to protect workers’ interests and create conducive work environments.

He wished Nigerian workers a happy International Labour Day, assuring them that their sacrifices would not go in vain and that better times were ahead.
