Vice President Kashim Shettima presides over a virtual session of Nigeria’s Economic Council (NEC).
The National Economic Council is a statutory body that meets every month under the chairmanship of the vice president.
The council usually reviews the economy’s performance and considers measures to boost the economy.
The council also advises the president on economic matters.
VP Shettima is participating from his office while the thirty-six (36) state governors, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and other council members are also participating virtually from their various offices.
