Troops neutralize 120 terrorists, arrest 105 others – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters says troops have neutralized 120 terrorists and arrested 105 others while 43 hostages were rescued in the last week.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, the troops of the Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI also conducted air interdiction operations, killing 64 terrorists and arrested 28 suspects.

The statement added that in the North West, the Joint Task Force Operation FANSAN YAMMA conducted offensive operations, eliminating 21 terrorists with 24 arrests and 5 rescued kidnapped hostages.

Also troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE in the North Central region conducted offensive operations, arresting 5 violent extremists and rescuing three kidnapped hostages while in the South South region, the Joint Task Force Operation DELTA SAFE maintained momentum against crude oil theft, recovering 631,709 litres of stolen crude oil and destroying 10 crude oil cooking ovens.
