Kalu Kalu, the counsel to Atiku Abubakar, has pointed out a discrepancy in the name on the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate provided by President Bola Tinubu to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The lawyer said the NYSC certificate submitted by the president shows the name “Bola Adekunle Tinubu” instead of “Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
“The Chicago State University admission application form has a claim that Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended Government College, Lagos, and graduated in 1970 when indeed the school was established in 1974,” Kalu said.
“The same document has it that the owner of that document is a black American, and then the document Bola Ahmed Tinubu submitted to INEC, he denied having dual citizenship, which means it does not belong to him.
“Then, the same document under deposition says that the ‘A’ — Bola A. Tinubu is Ahmed, but the NYSC certificate Bola Ahmed Tinubu submitted to INEC has Adekunle.”
Kalu alleged that findings from the deposition at the court indicate that President Bola Tinubu forged the certificates he submitted to INEC.
“That the qualifying certificate from the South-west College to Chicago State University bears a female, indicating that that document does not belong to Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
This raises concerns about the accuracy of the documents submitted for electoral purposes.
Atiku Abubakar is challenging the election that declared President Bola Tinubu as the winner as well as the tribunal’s judgment that upheld his victory.
Abubakar has alleged discrepancies and forgeries in Tinubu’s educational records.
He requested the US court to compel Chicago State University to release Tinubu’s academic records, which has been granted.
Abubakar intends to use these records in his litigation against Tinubu at the supreme court.
This legal battle revolves around the authenticity of Tinubu’s academic qualifications.
