President Bola Tinubu, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Country Director of the World Bank, Shubham Chaudhuri, and other top industry stakeholders will participate in the 16th annual conference of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
The Chairman of the Consultative Committee for the Conference, Bukola Smith, said this during a press conference on Monday.
The organizers scheduled the two-day event with the theme ‘Nigeria’s economic growth and empowerment: The role of the financial services industry’ for September in Abuja.
Tinubu will inaugurate the event, and the acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Folashodun Shonubi, will deliver a special goodwill message.
“In her opening address, Smith announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, would inaugurate the conference. She also mentioned that Mr. Folashodun Shonubi, the acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, would deliver a special goodwill message, along with other top government dignitaries. These dignitaries include Mr. Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance & Coordinating Minister of the Economy, and His Excellency Mr. Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory”.
Chaudhuri will present the keynote address.
The conference’s discussions and resolutions aimed to shape the financial services industry’s role in driving Nigeria’s economic growth, empowerment, and stability.
