President Bola Tinubu is set to inaugurate the new ministers along with their portfolios on Monday.
The swearing-in event will take place at 10 am in the State House’s conference room, as stated by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Ministers are expected to attend with two guests each, as directed by the director of information in the SGF’s office, William Bassey.
Tinubu’s recently appointed ministers, along with their portfolios, were announced earlier by the presidency.
Notably, Nyesom Wike becomes the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, and Gboyega Oyetola takes on the role of minister of transportation.
The distribution of ministers across regions includes 10 from the north-west, six from the north-east, eight from the north-central, nine from the south-west, and five each from the south-east and south-south.
Tinubu designated Bosun Tijani as the minister of communications, innovations, and digital economy, and Wale Edun as the head of the ministry of finance and coordinating minister of the economy.
Tinubu submitted two lists of nominees to the senate for confirmation, ultimately having 45 confirmed while three, including Nasir el-Rufai, Stella Okotete, and Danladi Abubakar, faced issues regarding security clearance.
