Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun has been officially sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) by President Bola Tinubu.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, with President Tinubu presiding over the event.
Kekere-Ekun’s appointment was confirmed by the Senate last week, following her screening in the upper legislative chamber.
Tinubu had named her the new acting CJN following the retirement of her predecessor, Justice Olukoyede Ariwoola.
