Tinubu returns to Nigeria one week after UNGA

His return also precedes Nigeria's 63rd independence anniversary, which will be celebrated on October 1.

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.

The president returns following his attendance at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States.

The UNGA session, which took place from September 18 to 26, marked Tinubu’s first appearance as Nigeria’s president at this global gathering.

During the UNGA session, Tinubu addressed various pressing issues, including concerns about foreign exploitation in Africa and the rising insecurity on the continent.

He called on other nations to collaborate on mutually beneficial solutions.

After delivering the national statement and engaging in numerous meetings on the sidelines of the assembly, Tinubu had the honor of ringing the closing bell at the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (NASDAQ).
