President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries to the Federal Civil Service.
In a statement issued on Monday, presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga stated that the permanent secretaries are appointed to “fill existing and impending vacancies in some states and geopolitical zones”.
The new permanent secretaries are Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia state), Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa state), and Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu state).
Others include Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi state), Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe state), Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi state), Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers state), and Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna state).
Onanuga stated that the permanent secretaries were selected “after a diligent selection process” by the federation’s head of civil service.
“It was the second set of eight permanent secretaries appointed by the president, following those appointed last June from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, South East and South-South,” the statement reads.
“President Tinubu urges the new permanent secretaries to demonstrate greater commitment, diligence, and innovation in serving the nation.”
