Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s former president, believes President Bola Tinubu has done well given the circumstances.
Buhari stated this on Sunday while receiving the comptroller-general and members of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) management team in Daura, Katsina state.
He said that governing Nigeria is a difficult task for anyone.
He urged Nigerians to endure the country’s economic hardship while supporting the current administration’s policies and programmes.
Buhari said:
“I thank you very much for coming. I very much appreciate it. I thought Tinubu has done very well.”
“Nigeria is so complex. There isn’t much anybody can do.”
Bashir Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of Customs, praised the former president for “transforming the NCS” during his time in office.
Adeniyi stated that the service will continue to secure the country’s borders to boost Nigeria’s economy.
