President Bola Tinubu conferred new ranks on the new service chiefs on Monday.
The ceremony took place in the council chamber of the presidential villa in Abuja.
Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff (CDS), Taoreed Lagbaja, chief of army staff (COAS), Emmanuel Ogalla, chief of naval staff, and Hassan Abubakar, chief of air staff, were among those honoured.
Tinubu appointed new service chiefs on June 19 after retiring those who served in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Senate confirmed the service chiefs‘ appointments on July 13 after screening them in a closed session that lasted more than an hour.
During plenary on July 19, the House of Representatives confirmed the service chiefs.
