Vice-President Kashim Shettima assures that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is dedicated to enhancing democracy in Nigeria.

Shettima welcomed leaders of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Abuja on Tuesday.

He stressed the importance of collective efforts to foster the nation’s democracy.

“Ours is a young nation, a young democracy and there has to be a sense of belonging, a sense of inclusivity by all component units in the federation,” he said.

“The beauty of democracy is that it is about inclusivity, it is about give and take and as such the Tinubu administration is strongly committed to deepening our democratic values.”

Shettima commended the role played by IPAC in ensuring stability in the polity.

“IPAC deserves some commendation; we value you. IPAC keeps our democracy going,” he said.

“Honestly, I will strive to nurture and strengthen this relationship with the full confidence and backing of my principal.”

Shettima acknowledges current challenges in Nigeria but remains optimistic due to new administration’s policies.

He believes economic issues, including the removal of fuel subsidy, will be overcome soon.

Shettima assures Nigerians of the president’s concern and anticipates stability and appreciation of Tinubu administration’s policies.

The government has comprehensive plans to address economic challenges.

IPAC’s national chairman, Yabaji Sani, congratulates the new administration and expresses support for unity, inclusivity, and dialogue.
