Renowned Nigerian music director and cinematographer ThankGod Omori Smith, popularly known as TG Omori or Boy Director, has revealed that his only brother donated a kidney to him.
TG Omori shared this news on Tuesday while opening up about his recent health challenges.
In a post that is now trending on his official X account, TG Omori disclosed that the kidney transplant took place on Monday, August 26, 2024.
“Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,” he wrote.
He also took to his Instagram story to share pictures of himself in a hospital bed receiving oxygen. Captioning the images, he wrote, “Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”
The music director had been out of the public eye for some time, leading to concern among his fans.
