The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast commitment to enhancing tertiary education in Nigeria. This commendation follows the signing of the student loans amendment bill by President Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Voice of Nigeria (VON) reports that Lucky Emonife, President of NANS, hailed Tinubu as the architect of modern education in Nigeria, expressing profound satisfaction with the President’s decisive action. Emonife emphasized the bill’s potential to provide access to high-quality education for underprivileged children.
“This is commendable. Mr. President’s commitment to education development is evident. Today, Nigerian students, particularly those from humble backgrounds, have reason to rejoice. Tinubu’s dedication signifies a turning point for our education system,” remarked Emonife.
The ceremony, witnessed by dignitaries including the President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, showcased Tinubu’s fulfillment of his promise to improve education accessibility through the student loans scheme.
NANS expressed gratitude for Tinubu’s initiative and urged responsible stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the bill, echoing Tinubu’s vision of ensuring no student is denied education due to financial constraints.
