The Senate is set to begin screening of seven ministerial nominees recently announced by President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday 29th October 2024.
This follows the earlier request to the Senate by President Tinubu to confirm the new ministerial nominees.
The President wrote to the upper chamber hours after their nomination last week, asking the lawmakers to consider and confirm the seven nominees for appointment as ministers.
They include Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), Muhammadu Dingyadi (Labour & Employment), Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu (State Foreign Affairs), and Jumoke Oduwole (Industry, Trade and Investment).
Others are Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Livestock Development), Yusuf Ata (State, Housing and Urban Development), and Suwaiba Ahmad (State Education).
