As requested by President Tinubu, the Senate has passed seventy thousand Naira (N70,000) National Minimum wage bill. The lawmakers granted expeditious consideration to the bill transmitted on Tuesday, as it passed first second, and third readings.
The President and the leadership of the Organised Labour had last Thursday agreed on ₦70,000 as the new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
The Senate also approved the national minimum wage review period from five to three years period.
