The Attorney-General (AG) and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers State, Prof Zacchaeus Adangor, has tendered his resignation to Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The resignation, dated November 14, 2023, comes amid the ongoing political crisis that has gripped the state, with the state assembly at the center of the storm.
Adangor, who served as the AG during the administration of former Governor Nyesom Wike from May 2015 to May 2023, stated in his resignation letter that his decision was “purely a personal one.” The unexpected departure of such a key figure has raised eyebrows and fueled speculation about the underlying reasons behind the move.
