President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a diplomatic mission to Dakar, Senegal, where he will attend the inauguration ceremony of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye. The journey, scheduled for Tuesday, comes at the invitation of the Republic of Senegal and underscores the importance of regional cooperation within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, released a press statement confirming President Tinubu’s upcoming trip.
As the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will play a significant role in the event, joining other regional leaders at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre for the inauguration.
He will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and other senior government officials.
Upon the conclusion of the inauguration ceremony, President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria, having fulfilled his role in representing the country at this significant regional event.
