President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four distinguished individuals to the National Council on Privatization (NCP). These appointees, representing the private sector, are poised to play a crucial role in shaping the country’s economic landscape.
The appointed members of the council include Oluwole Osin, representing the South-West region; Mohammed Mustapha Bintube, appointed to represent the North-East. Additionally, Olayiwola Yahaya will represent the North-Central, while Akwa Effion Okon has been selected to represent the South-South region of Nigeria.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, conveyed President Tinubu’s charge to the new council members. In a statement released on Thursday, Ngelale emphasized the President’s expectation that the appointees would leverage their wealth of private sector experiences to ensure optimal value and impact for Nigeria in the realm of privatization.
