Popular food critic Opeyemi Famakin has taken to social media to accuse entertainment mogul Cubana Chiefpriest of threatening his life.
Famakin posted a review of Chiefpriest’s restaurant in Imo State after visiting on September 11, 2024. While he praised the restaurant’s atmosphere, he criticized the pastries for being pre-made and microwaved.
In response, .Chiefpriest thanked Famakin for the visit and wished him well in a comment on Instagram. However, on September 12, 2024, Famakin alleged that Chiefpriest threatened him in private messages over the review.
Famakin shared screenshots of their conversations, where Chiefpriest remarked, “Karma is real, you must pay for whatever you sow in life. I don’t fight lowlifes, I leave them to karma. The business you did your wicked review for is owned by a 6-year-old.”
Famakin captioned the screenshots, urging the public to hold Chiefpriest accountable if anything happens to him. He wrote, “I know a threat when I see one. I guess it’s time to leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, you know who to hold. He was polite publicly but had a different tone in private messages.”
