The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has killed Isa Dei-Dei, a “notorious bandit,” in a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The police said the intelligence response team received information about a notorious bandit group’s hideout in the FCT on Monday.
Muyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson, said in a statement on Wednesday that when the operatives arrived on the scene, the bandits fled, and officers pursued them.
Adejobi said:
“The operatives immediately went after them, which led to a fierce gun duel.”
“In the process, the notorious Isa Dei-Dei was neutralised while other members of the syndicate managed to escape with gunshot injuries.”
The force spokesperson asked members of the public, particularly medical practitioners, to notify the police if they saw anyone with gunshot injuries.
