Police arrest Portable over G-Wagon debt

He was nabbed on Tuesday following his alleged refusal to pay the debt he incurred when he purchased G-Wagon from a car dealer.

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended well-known musician, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable.

The singer, known for his controversial personality, was taken into custody on Tuesday for allegedly failing to settle a debt he owed after purchasing a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.

According to sources, Portable had initially paid only N13 million for the vehicle, which was priced at N27 million. However, he declined to pay the remaining N14 million balance.

Following the car dealer’s complaint to the authorities, the singer was arrested by the police.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, affirmed the arrest, stating, “The report is accurate. He was arrested today.”
