Authorities of the Rivers State Police Command apprehended Godslove Olakada for scalding her spouse, Olakada Ejire, with boiling water following domestic disputes.
This arrest came less than 72 hours after the police had showcased another case involving Favour Nwokoro, who had poured hot vegetable oil on her husband, Ekelediri Nwokoro, in Igwurita, Port Harcourt, due to a family disagreement.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state, Grace Iringe-Koko, released a statement in Port Harcourt on Monday detailing the incident that unfolded in Agbonchia community, situated in the Eleme local government area of the state.
SP Iringe-Koko mentioned that a thorough investigation has been initiated to ascertain the facts surrounding this occurrence.
She conveyed, “The Rivers State Police Command’s operatives, through credible intelligence, have arrested one Godslove Olakada ‘F,’ from Agbonchia Eleme on Saturday, 14/10/2023 at about 2030hrs for pouring hot water on her husband, one Olakada Ejire ‘M.’
“He was rushed to Famo Hospital at Aleto Eleme for treatment. The cause was domestic family issues .
