The body of the late Rotimi Akeredolu, the immediate former governor of Ondo, arrived in Lagos from Germany on Friday.
Akeredolu passed away on December 27 in Germany after a long battle with prostate cancer.
The late governor’s remains were brought in via the private wing of Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the late governor’s wife, Wole Akeredolu, his immediate younger brother, and other family members received the corpse in a coffin wrapped in the Nigerian flag bearing the coat of arms.
The governors of Lagos, Ogun State, and Osun State also sent representatives to the airport.
