The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has welcomed the birth of a Prince with his queen, Ashley Folashade.
The joyous news was shared on the Ooni’s official Instagram platform on Tuesday.
In his announcement, Oba Ogunwusi wrote, “To God be the glory, great things He has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the maternal lineage of the Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of the Lafogido Ruling House and the paternal lineage of the Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of the Giesi Ruling House, united on the Royal throne of Oduduwa.
“Mother and child are doing well, to the glory of God Almighty and in accordance with the spirits of our ancestors.”
It is worth noting that the Ooni’s former queen, Olori Naomi, gave birth to a son, Prince Tadenikawo, before their separation.
Additionally, the Ooni’s other wives have also given birth to children, with Olori Tobi Philips welcoming twins on March 16, 2024.
