One year in office: Buhari calls for unity, urges more support for Tinubu

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated his successor, Bola Tinubu, on completing a year in office.

Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, expressed his best wishes to Tinubu.

The former president urged Nigerians to “continue strengthening the thread of national unity and goodwill”.

Buhari also urged citizens to “give their blessings and support” to Tinubu’s administration so that “it can succeed in its efforts to build the Nigeria of our dreams”.

The statement reads:

“President Buhari expressed his wishes for a successful tenure in office by the Tinubu administration.

“The former president appealed to all citizens to continue to strengthen the thread of national unity and goodwill.

“He also appealed to them to give their blessings and support to the Tinubu administration, so that it can succeed in its efforts to build the Nigeria of our dreams.

“President Buhari expressed his wishes for a successful tenure in office by the Tinubu administration. “
