Dr. Olaide Adelami, a former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, has officially assumed the Ondo State Deputy Governor role. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the International Culture and Event Centre, Akure, on Thursday and was presided over by the state’s chief judge, Justice Olusegun Odusola.
The appointment came after last Tuesday’s announcement by the state governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, selecting Dr. Olaide Adelami as the new deputy governor. Following the governor’s decision, Adelami’s name was promptly forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly for screening and ratification.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, government officials, and well-wishers who gathered to witness the historic event. The Chief Judge administered the oath of office, marking the official induction of Dr. Olaide Adelami into the esteemed position of Deputy Governor of Ondo State.
