Oladips was dead for three days before coming back to life – Singer’s aide

"We all thought he was dead because he was not breathing until the third day when he was revived. By then, the manager had already shared the story."

Abdulrasheed Opeyemi, the personal assistant of Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, has clarified that the rapper, who was previously reported dead by his management, had actually experienced a three-day period of apparent demise before returning to life.

On November 14, news circulated that the ‘Chache’ crooner had passed away after a two-year battle with an ailment. The official statement from his management conveyed the solemn announcement, expressing shock and requesting privacy for the grieving family.

However, in an exclusive interview with PUNCH Online’s Tope Alabi, Abdulrasheed provided further insights into the situation, revealing that Oladips was believed to be deceased for three days before his revival.

According to Abdulrasheed, there was a misinterpretation by the manager, who had access to Oladips’ social media page. The news was disseminated before the artist’s unexpected return to life on the third day.

Abdulrasheed clarified, “I don’t know how to say this. It was a misinterpretation with the manager who has access to Oladips’ page. We all thought he was dead because he was not breathing until the third day when he was revived. By then, the manager had already shared the story.”

When questioned about Oladips’ whereabouts during those three days, Abdulrasheed stated, “He was with his family.”

Furthermore, Abdulrasheed disclosed that the music outfit, Dipsciples Music, owned by the rapper, has severed ties with the manager responsible for the premature announcement. The manager’s identity was not revealed, and Abdulrasheed emphasized that Oladips would soon address everyone on the matter.

Oladips had established his own label, Dipsciples Music, in 2019, following his departure from LRR/Edge Records owned by Nigerian rapper Remilekun Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce.
