The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has reaffirmed his dedication to upholding established regulations for the upcoming elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States. He made this commitment on Friday while addressing members of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) in Abuja.
Ribadu emphasized that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is resolute in providing all the necessary elements to ensure the smooth conduct of elections in the three states.
He underlined the critical role of security in preserving the integrity of elections and stressed the administration’s unwavering commitment to adhering strictly to the established regulations for these elections. Ribadu noted that extensive preparations have been undertaken to ensure readiness for this significant event.
“Our primary objective is to conduct elections that are not only free but also trustworthy and peaceful, scheduled for November 11, 2023,” Ribadu stated.
The NSA further pointed out that President Tinubu has unequivocally pledged to facilitate a groundbreaking election. He expressed a firm belief that these elections will take place without any interference, violence, or intimidation.
