President Bola Tinubu has affirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to prioritizing the needs of the Armed Forces, ensuring they can fulfill their constitutional duties without obstruction.
He made this assurance during the trooping and presentation of colours to commemorate the diamond jubilee anniversary of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna State.
Acknowledging the sacrifices made by members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Tinubu emphasized the government’s awareness of the challenges they face while serving across the nation.
He reiterated the government’s determination to enhance the fight against insecurity until every part of Nigeria is adequately protected.
Reflecting on the NDA’s evolution over six decades, Tinubu highlighted its continuous transformation to meet the training needs of the Armed Forces. He praised the establishment of Postgraduate Studies, Research Centres, and the Centre of Excellence, making the academy a globally recognized institution.
Despite resource constraints, Tinubu commended the completion of over forty projects across various sectors of the academy, including infrastructure development, personnel welfare, and enhancement of training quality. He encouraged the academy to maintain high standards in academic and military training to attract top-tier cadets worldwide.
