In response to allegations that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) was involved in a bombing incident in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the Air Force has denied any responsibility. The incident, which reportedly occurred around 9 pm on Sunday during a Maulud celebration, resulted in multiple casualties.

In a press statement released on December 3, 2023, Air Commodore Gabkwet, (Director Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Airforce)  asserted, “The news making the rounds alleging that Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft accidentally killed innocent civilians in Kaduna is false. Please be informed that the NAF has not carried out any air operations within Kaduna State and environs in the last 24 hours.”

Furthermore, he highlighted that the Nigerian Air Force is not the sole entity operating combat armed drones in the North Western region of Nigeria. This statement suggests that other organizations with similar capabilities could be responsible for the reported incident.

The Air Force spokesman emphasized the importance of thorough fact-checking by the media before disseminating unverified and unconfirmed reports. He urged the public to exercise caution in accepting information without proper verification.
