Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels recently shared how she met her husband, Delta North Senator Ned Nwoko, while on an outing with her then-boyfriend.
During an Instagram live session, Regina revealed that her mother and family initially opposed her marriage to Nwoko. She recalled, “I went to visit my boyfriend, and I was irritated about going sightseeing, but when we arrived, I met this cute man. The moral of the story? Your boyfriend shouldn’t stop you from meeting your husband.”
Reflecting on the start of her relationship with Nwoko, Regina noted, “Once I started with my husband, I forgot about boyfriends—I had about 20. When people say I had no choice, I think, really? People believed my mom forced me, but she and my entire family were actually against it.”
Despite the significant age difference, Nwoko married Regina in May 2019 in Aniocha Local Government Area, Delta State. The 63-year-old politician explained his decision, saying, “I married her because she’s from my place. I wanted a wife from my homeland, and when I met her, I knew she was the one.”
