The health minister for the eastern Libyan administration has confirmed that over 3,000 people have died, and they expect the number of missing individuals to reach 10,000.

Entire neighborhoods in Derna have been washed away, and the city’s cemetery has more than 700 bodies waiting to be identified, with as many as 5,000 people missing.

The situation is described as disastrous, with many buildings collapsed, and the final toll is expected to be substantial.
