Lagos to introduce monthly physical fitness programme

The aim is to enhance the physical and mental well-being of Lagos residents.

The Lagos State Sports Commission, in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Damilare Orimoloye, is set to launch the inaugural edition of the “Keep-fit Lagos” monthly aerobics program.

Oluwatoyin Gafaar, the Director-General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, disclosed this recently at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park, Yaba, a statement said on Tuesday.

The aim is to enhance the physical and mental well-being of Lagos residents, the initiative will cover various locations in the state.

The monthly exercise, scheduled to commence on December 9, 2023, aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S.+ agenda and aims to foster inclusiveness and a culture of physical fitness among residents.
