The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have “relaxed” their national strike for a few days.
According to TheCable report, the strike has been “relaxed for a few days”.
Labour went on strike after talks with the federal administration about a new minimum wage fell through.
The industrial action halted commercial and government activities throughout the nation for two days.
The call off followed a meeting of the national executive council (NEC) in Abuja on Tuesday.
Festus Osifo, TUC president, stated that a communiqué on the development would be published immediately.
On Monday, labour signed an agreement with the federal government to establish a new minimum wage that is over N60 000.
