Kaduna police rescue man after six months in kidnappers’ den

The Kaduna State Police Command successfully liberated a kidnapped victim who had been held captive for six months.

According to ASP Mansir Hassan, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state, the rescue operation occurred on Monday around 4:00 pm during an anti-crime patrol mission in the Madachi-Galadimawa area within Zaria Local Government Area.

The police patrol team encountered individuals suspected to be kidnappers, prompting the suspects to flee upon seeing the police operatives. The pursuit resulted in the rescue of the kidnapped victim from their hideout.

The rescued individual, who had been abducted six months earlier while traveling to Kontagora in Niger, was promptly taken to the Muslim Specialist Hospital in Zaria for urgent medical attention.

The police are actively working to apprehend the fleeing suspects involved in the abduction, and efforts are underway to locate the victim’s relatives.
