Jenifa’s Diary actress Adejumoke Aderounmu is dead

Nigerian actress Aderounmu Adejumoke, best known for her role as Esther in the popular series “Jenifa’s Diary,” has passed away at the age of 37.

The news was confirmed by Nigerian filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi, who shared the heartbreaking announcement on his Instagram account on Monday, April 8, 2024.

“A family member of former star of hit series Jenifa’s Diary Jumoke Aderonmu has tweeted that the budding Actress is dead. Details are still sketchy. May she find peace with her maker,” his Instagram post said.

Aderounmu began her acting career in 2008 with a role in the Tunde Kelani film “Arugba,” where she portrayed Princess Mobandele alongside renowned actors such as Bukky Wright, Bukola Awoyemi, and Segun Adefila.

The news of her passing has been met with deep sadness from members of the entertainment industry and fans alike. Actress Funke Akindele expressed her grief, saying, “Sad!!!! @jideawobona I still asked about her. Omg. May her soul rest in peace.”
