Jada Pinkett Smith opens up about separation from Will Smith

She praised her children - Jaden, Willow, and Trey - for supporting her during this challenging time in their relationship, emphasizing the deep love they have for each other.

American actress Jada Pinkett Smith revealed in an interview with People magazine that she and her husband Will Smith have been secretly separated for the last seven years.

The celebrity couple, who married in 1997, are currently in a process of figuring out the future of their marriage.

“We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together,’ she said. ‘We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like.”

Jada, aged 52, shared that they have been separated since 2016, even during the incident when Will slapped comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022.

She praised her children – Jaden, Willow, and Trey – for supporting her during this challenging time in their relationship, emphasizing the deep love they have for each other.

“My children, they’re little gurus. They’ve taught me a deep sense of self-acceptance. They love every part of me. The level of love, unconditional love that they have for me and their dad.

“And it’s one thing to want to be the person that gives that unconditional love. And then there’s, to be the recipient of that.”

The couple is still in the process of understanding what their relationship will look like moving forward.
