Afrobeat star Burna Boy has revealed that he now surpasses many of the Nigerian politicians and oil moguls he once admired in wealth.
In a post on his Instagram story on Saturday, he encouraged his followers not to underestimate younger people, sharing insights about his financial journey.
Reflecting on his rise, he noted, “Growing up, only oil men and politicians were making serious money, followed by the ‘G boys.’ Music wasn’t even part of the conversation when it came to wealth.”
He continued, “Now, an ‘ugly black musician from Port Harcourt’ has more money than 90% of the people he once saw as wealthy role models.”
Burna Boy advised his followers never to look down on anyone, adding that the next Elon Musk might be closer than they think.
