On Monday, January 8, 2024, Nigeria’s Passport Automation System was officially launched, aiming to streamline the passport application process for Nigerians by allowing them to apply and complete the application online without the need for in-person contact.
To enroll for your passport remotely from anywhere outside Nigeria, follow these step-by-step instructions:
1 . Visit the official website: passport.immigration.gov.ng and choose “Apply from outside Nigeria.”
2. Log in by signing in with your Google account.
3. Click on ‘create new application’ and provide the necessary details, including your processing country and embassy, contact information, and next of kin.
The passport booklet fee will be automatically generated in USD. The amount depends on the number of pages of passport booklet type selected.
4. Make online payment
Your passport will be ready for collection.
