Gunmen abduct wife, maid of ex-Benue chief of staff

Orbunde was said to have been shot as the shooters fled.

Terwase Orbunde, a former chief of staff to former Benue state governor Samuel Ortom, has had his wife and maid kidnapped by gunmen.

The event allegedly happened on Friday at around six o’clock in the evening near the Genocide Cemetery on the route leading to the state capital of Makurdi’s mobile barracks-welfare quarters.

Five armed men were reported to have ambushed Orbunde, his wife Abigail Kashimana, and their maid Patience Ogute as they went to check on the weeding of their property.

Orbunde was said to have been shot as the Gunmen fled.

After the incident, Orbunde was taken to the hospital by eyewitnesses.

TheCable received confirmation of the occurrence from Catherine Anene, a spokesman for the Benue police command.
